Candidate Obama constantly talked about how the world has come to dislike and distrust us because of George Bush’s policies. He said that Bush was mean to other countries and that we need a friendlier approach. If we just would talk and be nice to other countries there would be world peace. His foreign policy platform called for talking to the world terrorists, reaching out to Muslims, and disarming. He gleefully promised to reduce our “investment” (the left’s favorite way to say spend) in our missile defense.

The left (Democrat Party) always prefer diplomacy to strength. In part this is due to their desire to spend money to support their re-election but it also shows their naivety. They do not understand that the only thing that terrorists fear and respect is strength. When they kill four Americans there should be an instantaneous reaction of killing ten times that many terrorists. Obama has weakened America and the Muslim world (synonym for terrorists) smell blood in the water.

Muslims have been the world’s terrorist for centuries. This is a result of government and religion being one. The religion of Islam teaches its people that the world must be all either Islamic or dead. They brainwash the children early to hate America and Israel anyone who is not of their faith. No amount of talking is going to change this.

Obama’s administration banned the term war on terrorism. They called the shooting of our troops at Fort Hood by a Muslim as workforce violence. They were quick to call the killings of four Americans in Libya as by a small group of people, and specifically said that the government of Libya was not involved.  Really?

Ronald Reagan’s three most important pillars of national security policy were (1) peace through strength; (2) trust but verify; and (3) beware of evil in the modern world. Thanks’ to his leadership and steadfast application of his pillars communism collapsed. The Soviet empire crumbled.

The first pillar, “strength”. For Reagan strength was both military and economic strength. And he would never apologize for our military power. He understood that it created the peace. And he would never demonize prosperity. That is right from our Constitution, the right to pursue happiness.

The second pillar was used to monitor treaties and arms deals, but went well beyond that. The third pillar is one easily forgotten in peaceful times. Reagan understood that there is evil in this world. New forms of evil exist in addition to the traditional forms of evil like communism. This has been eroded over the years by the mammoth weight of political correctness. Many politicians in both parties and the main stream media are afraid to equate terror with Islam. For the press it is probably more ignorance and naivety than anything else. For politicians it is fear of demagoguery.

If you cannot identify your enemy you will never defeat them. We are at war with the terrorists of Islam and always will be. We need leaders who understand that.

apology, Egypt, embassy, George Bush, Hillary Clinton, Islam, Libya, Muslim, Obama, terrorist

On the day when America mourns the loss of the victims of the Islamic terrorist attack on the New York World Trade Towers and the Pentagon on 9-11-2001, our embassy in Cairo, Egypt was attacked, again by Islamic protestors. The demonstrators climbed the walls of the U.S. Embassy and pulled down the American flag to protest a film they say is insulting to the prophet Mohammad. In its place they raised a black flag carrying the slogan: “There is no god but Allah and Mohammad is his messenger.” Al Ahram online says the film is reportedly being produced by U.S.-based Coptic-Christian Egyptians with the support of the Terry Jones Church in the United States. Jones is the evangelical pastor who stirred controversy last year by threatening to burn a Quran in public. CNN says the film in question is a Dutch production.

After the protest, the U.S. Embassy issued this statement on its website.

“The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of other.”

Wow, we apologize to Muslim terrorists who attacked us on sovereign American soil on the anniversary of 9-11. There have been several anti-Christian and anti-Semitic movies made over the years without violent protests from those groups. And these movies receive praise from the left as expressions of free speech. We even give grants to “artists” who do great works like piss Christ.

Later in Libya our U.S. consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi was attacked by armed terrorists. The American ambassador and three staff members were killed by the gunmen. There was no immediate comment from the State Department in Washington.

Of course there was a lot of fallout for the apology. The Obama administration tried to distance itself from it. The Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, however, re-affirmed its apologetic stance that was disavowed earlier by the White House. Trouble in paradise? Clinton is in lockstep with how Obama would have handled this situation in the past. Obama openly supported the radical Muslim brotherhood’s takeover of the Egyptian government. He even sent funds to them to help them get started. Yes our taxes were used to fund an Islamic terrorist group. Had this been in his second term Obama probably would have been proud of the terrorists. However, that pesky little thing called an election looms over Obama’s head. Thus he is avoiding the apology. But he is not showing the leadership that we expect from our President when we are attacked. Makes you wonder how America would be now if Obama was President on 9-11-2001 rather than George W. Bush. That is a very scary thought. November cannot come fast enough.

cairo

9/11/12. A mob charged the American Embassy and ripped down our flag as our nation mourned the victims of 9-11. AP reported that the 2,000 or so protestors were mostly Islamic. Duh. This shortly after Obama praised the “Arab Spring” in Egypt. He had no concerns that the Muslim Brotherhood took over. This is consistent with Obama’s support of the Muslim world at the expense of us and our allies. Our crack State Department had this to say: “The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of other”

We are doomed as long as we elect politicians that do not understand the threat of Islam. Our bureaucrats are more worried about the hurt the religious feelings of Muslims. Amazing. These are not “misguided individuals”.

These terrorists are following the teachings of their god. Today we are reminded that we must never forget. The Islamic terrorist, unfortunately, will not let us forget.

Neil Armstrong: 1930-2012

08.25.12

America and the world have lost a true hero. Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon. The largest television audience in history was riveted to the screen in 1969 to watch Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin step onto the lunar surface.

clip_image003

Armstrong has died of heart complications at the age of 82. Armstrong’s words “That is one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind,” spoken on July 20, 1969, as he became the first person ever to step onto another planetary body, instantly became a part of history. (Note that this quote when used is usually stated without the “a” before man). People who witnessed it will never forget it.

Armstrong was a hero no doubt. But he never cashed in on his success. His modesty and quiet life showed the true measure of the man. He made few public appearances. He gave very few speeches or interviews. His resignation from the public square made his lunar walk something mankind achieved rather than something Neil Armstrong achieved. He elevated this walk to be the culmination of the work, not only of the thousands of engineers and scientists who directly worked on the mission, but of the nation and mankind.

Americans have always taken pride in NASA. Young boys and girls dream of becoming astronauts one day. We always looked forward to the next mission. The space program fed our national pride and competitive spirit. The space program was just another example of America’s exceptionalism. Therein lays the problem for Barack Obama, our President who does not believe in American exceptionalism. As a matter of fact his administration’s goal has been to lower America’s standing in the world.

President Obama’s promised to fundamentally change America. Sadly many of the voters did not know him well enough to know what that meant. As just one example, he told NASA administrator Charles Bolden that his highest priority should be “to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science … and math and engineering.” The result of Obama’s new focus was the end of an era, the death of the space shuttle program.

NASA’s space shuttle fleet began setting records with its first launch on April 12, 1981 and continued to set high marks of achievement and endurance through 30 years of missions. Starting with Columbia and continuing with Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis and Endeavour, the spacecraft has carried people into orbit repeatedly, launched, recovered and repaired satellites, conducted cutting-edge research and built the largest structure in space, the International Space Station. The final space shuttle mission, STS-135, ended July 21, 2011 when Atlantis rolled to a stop at its home port, NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Perhaps it was time for a new technology, and new type of “space craft” to allow us to go beyond the moon. But Obama has no desire to explore our universe. There is no succession plan. There are simply just plans to make Muslims feel good about their achievements in math and engineering, whatever that may be.

Perhaps the President’s feelings about Neil Armstrong and the space program can be summed up in a picture. In Obama’s remembrance of Neil Armstrong on his passing, he did not use a photo of the lunar walk or other photos of Armstrong. He used this as a photo opt for himself, the most arrogant and narcissistic President of all times.
